  • The Tigard High School Department of Theatre is proud to present Radium Girls by D.W. Gregory, produced by Todd Hermanson and directed by Jane Fellows!

In 1926, radium was the miracle cure, Madame Curie a celebrity and luminous watches all the rage! That is until the girls who painted the watches began to fall ill with a mysterious disease. Following the life of Grace Fryer, a dial painter, we see her lead the fight against Arthur Roeder, President of the US Radium Corporation. He cannot wrap his mind around the idea that what is said to be a cure could also be the what is causing the illnesses among his employees. Will Grace's battle and resilience lead her to success? You must come see to find out! A powerful and engrossing drama based off true events, Radium Girls offers a look at the American obsession with health, wealth, and the commercialization of science.

Join us on this journey through an engrossing piece of American and women’s history on November 16th, 17th, and 18th at 7:30pm, and certainly don't miss your chance to be there for Grace at the 2:00pm matinee on the 18th! To purchase your tickets, go to THSDrama.com and buy them for $8.00(plus a service fee). Tickets can also be bought at the door for $10.00 (door sales are cash only).
