Twality Middle School Rebuild and Renovations
We are thrilled that the major renovations and rebuild of the Twality Middle School building were completed on schedule in January of 2021. This project, which began in the summer of 2019, is highlighted by several new spaces that significantly modernize Twality:
- A new media center, commons, gymnasium, visual arts classrooms and maker space facility will enhance our existing curriculum spaces and provide new opportunities for students to explore elective options
- A new centralized administration office and secure vestibule entrance will enhance school security and visibility
- Classrooms fully wired for technology with flexible “extended learning areas” connecting rooms
- Improved parent and bus pick-up and drop-off circulation
- Pedestrian and bike routes between Templeton and Twality to support student safety
The last remaining project at Twality is the completion of a new synthetic turf field and track surface. Installing this turf field will allow Twality students to have year-round access to outdoor activities during the school day, and the turf will also become a reservable space for youth sports and community organizations after hours and on the weekends. We anticipate the turf project to be completed by the end of the summer, and the new field should be ready for student use in the Fall of 2021.
