Welcome to Boys' Golf

  • Greetings Tualatin Golf Family!
I hope the new year is treating you well and lives are filled with optimism!  I want to take this opportunity to communicate any information I have regarding returning to play this spring. The OSAA is working diligently to create a plan that is safe and responsible.  Much of their decision-making is based on our Governor's stance and policy.  We will know more on January 19th as Governor Brown will release new information regarding school participation.
Tigard-Tualatin School District knows students are eager to return to school and athletics.  I am eager too!!!  However, we want to be part of the solution.  We have been in constant communication with the OSAA to bring activities back into our school and ensuring safety measures will be top priority.
These are obviously complex times that involve many difficult decisions and choices. We are willing to adapt as the times move forward.  I will continue to advocate for your son to promote that a positive, safe, and responsible golf season happens this spring.  I know the experience and inclusive interactions that occur throughout a season can have a life-long impact for our student-athletes.  These kids have suffered and sacrificed immensely for the good of all. We must consider their health and well-being too!
All that being said, I must share required participation forms for this season.  This will be a tedious and exhausting experience at times, but I am up for the challenge!  Tualatin High School continues to follow the COVID-19 safety protocol set forth by the OHA and our Governor.  Part of this protocol requirement includes:
    • Participant/Coach Monitoring Form--must be completed daily
    • Covid liability form--(filled out and hold onto until our first meeting together)
    • Social Distancing
    • Wearing face coverings and proper hand-washing practice
This is a great time to make sure an up-to-date physical and participation registration form is on file with the Athletic Office.  Both of these forms may be found online (TuHS website) in our "Athletics" tab. Fees do not need to be paid until our season begins.  If you are unable to print at home I will have hard copies I can provide when we have our first Patent/Coach meeting in late February (I hope).
Golf is "Season 3" outlined by the OSAA.  This means we will begin April 5, 2021 and conclude May 23, 2021 (5 regular season competition weeks plus additional playoff qualifications).   We are limited to six playable dates (or 12 9-hole rounds--whichever is applicable).  I will send you all a schedule when I receive that information.  Meanwhile I will work to build a practice calendar and we will plan accordingly.  Stay tuned!
Thank you for your time and support! I look forward to our season!
    Go Wolves! Eric
PS--I've included the Participant/Coach Monitoring Form just so you are aware of what we'll need to ask on a daily basis.
Please hold on to the COVID Liability release form until our first meeting.  Thank you!!!
