My students iPad is acting up, what do I do?
Make sure that your iPad is up to date by clicking on Settings, General, then software update. If there is an update needed, download and install the update. Things should run smoothly but if they don’t, then proceed to the following step: Erase your browsing history and data to clear the cache on your iPad. This removes the history of websites you visited and recent searches from your device. It also removes the cookies and permissions you granted to websites to use your location or send
you notifications.
Go to Settings> Safari, then tap Clear History, Website Data, and Clear Cache.
Then restart your iPad and it should run smoothly!
IF your issues are still not resolved after trying the steps above, please reach out to our IT help desk at 503-431-4051. -
Where should students "start their day" at the Virtual Academy?
All students should access their classes via Canvas. Teachers will have a link to their classroom live meeting (through Google Meet) on their Canvas course home page.
Students in grades 6-8 should open the Canvas app on their iPad.
- - If prompted to enter their school name, enter "TTSD"
- - Select "Tigard-Tualatin School District - Students" from the drop-down menu.
- - Enter your TTSD user account
Students in grades 9-12 should open Canvas via the URL: http://canvas.ttsdschools.org
(NOTE: This is also one of the default pages that loads automatically when logged in on their Chromebook)
