  • Hurricane Relief Fundraiser at HMS

    SAVE YOUR CANS AND PLASTIC BOTTLES (No glass please)!! Hazelbrook will be having a donation drive this week to support victims of the recent hurricane in Houston. We have adopted an AVID school in Houston and we will be having a LOT of activities this week to collect money and items that they may need for their recovery.

    Red Cross Challenges Us to “Prepare Out Loud” at Tigard High School on Sept. 26th Disasters can happen at any time. September is Preparedness Month and the American Red Cross and KGW-TV are partnering together for the “Keeping You Safe” campaign to get our community ready for disasters big and small. As part of the campaign, the Red Cross will host a unique, interactive preparedness presentation called “Prepare Out Loud” on September 26, at Tigard High School, 9000 SW Durham Rd., in Tigard. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the presentation starts at 6:30 p.m. Prepare Out Loud will help audiences understand the science and history of the Cascadia Subduction Zone and the simple steps we can take right now to prepare for disasters of all kinds. Browse safety resources from local first-responder agencies before and after the presentation, including resources from Washington County. Free to attend. RSVP at
