Dear Tualatin Community,
My name is Dr. Bobbie Brown, and I am honored to be the principal here at Tualatin Elementary School! Although I am a new member of Tualatin Elementary School this year, it is clear that this school is an exceptional place. Students are eager to learn, ready to take on new challenges, and caring for school community members. The Tualatin staff hold themselves to the highest levels of professionalism and care about every student who is a part of the Black Bear community. Staff are committed to assuring that students feel supported and encouraged to do their best learning and growing. Tualatin Elementary School also has the best families and community partners who care about the success of our school. We are a strong community and have so much to offer one another!
I have been a part of the Tigard-Tualatin community since 2010 and have experience as a School Psychologist, Behavioral Specialist, Dean of Students, and Associate Principal. Before joining the TTSD community, I worked in Southern California as a School Psychologist and as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Togo, West Africa! I love the Tigard-Tualatin community and value the years working with educators, students, and families! I have especially loved working exclusively in Tualatin schools for the last few years!
I live in Jennings Lodge with my husband, Matt, and my kids, Jay (19) and Evan (17). I also have three dogs that keep us on our toes! As a family, we love spending time outdoors, listening to music, cooking, traveling, and looking for adventures!
At Tualatin Elementary School, every student can meet their full potential here at school. We support every student who walks through our doors in doing so. Tualatin Elementary School is a safe, positive place where all students are valued and celebrated for their differences. When educators, families, and communities collaborate on behalf of our students, fantastic growth can happen!
I look forward to working with you this school year and in the future. Don't hesitate to contact our school with any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
Bobbie Brown
