DURHAM'S PARKING LOT, BUSSES, FAMILY DROP OFF/PICK UP, WALKING/BIKING
Parking Lot Information: We have a new parking lot routine related to a one bus lane, a one parent drop off/pick up lane (parents drive through the parent drop off line without letting their children out of the vehicle until they reach the drop off check point), and where students go when they socially distance and walk to school.PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE CREEKSIDE PARKING LOT. CREEKSIDE STAFF AND STUDENTS NEED THOSE PARKING SPACES.- Bus Lane: School busses will enter Durham's parking lot using the right lane that lines up against the curb in front of the school. VEHICLES ARE PREVENTED FROM ENTERING THIS LANE. Trained staff members will greet busses and students will walk from each bus to their classrooms and washing hands upon classroom entry. Teachers will be in classrooms to greet students. STUDENTS MAY NOT GO HOME WITH FRIENDS WITHOUT A NOTE FROM PARENTS INDICATING IT IS OK. THE NOTE MUST BE WRITTEN AND GIVEN TO THE OFFICE PRIOR TO SCHOOL DEPARTURE.
- Family Drop Off Lane: FAMILY MEMBERS MUST STOP AT THE GATE ENTRANCE TO SAY GOODBYE TO THEIR STUDENT IF THEY PARK THEIR VEHICLE IN A PARKING LOT SPACE. If not parking in the Durham parking lot, vehicles will enter Durham's parking lot using the one vehicle left lane until it turns into the one vehicle center lane. A traffic controller will guide vehicles 1X1 through this lane and process. DO NOT LET CHILDREN OUT OF THE VEHICLE UNTIL YOU ARRIVE AT THE DESIGNATED DROP OFF ZONE. Vehicles will drive down the center lane and pull into a drop off zone near the fence along the playground. A traffic controller will guide vehicles where to park. Once parked in the drop off zone, students should promptly exit the vehicle and report to the fence gate entrance. Teachers will be in classrooms to greet students.
Drop off time: 7:45AM
- PLEASE SCHEDULE EXTRA TIME FOR STUDENT DROP OFF AS THERE IS ONLY ONE LANE FOR VEHICLES TO DRIVE THROUGH. THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY IN AND OUT OF THE DURHAM PARKING LOT SO PATIENCE, UNDERSTANDING, AND RESPECTFUL DRIVING HABITS ARE APPRECIATED.
