*We will bus athletes to these meets and parents are encouraged to come and watch. Parents may take their athlete home with them instead of riding the bus at the conclusion of the meet if they sign out with one of the coaches at the meet. If not, athletes will need to be picked up PROMPTLY at HMS when we arrive home.
We will have two optional conditioning practices before spring break on Tues, 3/17 and Thurs, 3/19. We will also have an additional practice on Wed, 4/1. Besides these exceptions, we will practice every Tues and Thurs as long as we are not at a meet. Please be at all practices so that you can improve in your events over the season. If you are not able to make it practice, let one of the coaches know.
A competitor may enter a maximum of three individual events and a maximum of two relays, but not to exceed a total of four events.
Results will be posted on athletic.net at the conclusion of each meet. The order of the running events are: 100m hurdles, 1500m, 400m relay, 400m, 100m, 800m, 200m, and the 1600m relay. The field event options are the long jump, high jump, shot put, and discus.
Optional “Hazelbrook Track and Field” shirts will be available to purchase for $12 until 3/18. In addition, a singlet will be given out for the season that is to be returned when we finish. If the singlet is lost, the cost is $25 to replace it.
If you are able to volunteer to run a field event or help at the finish line for our home meet on 4/28, please email Mr. Harrison (the sooner the better). No experience is necessary and instruction sheets will be provided ahead of time and at the meet.
