My name is Scott Rice, I will be taking over the role of School Psychologist/Counselor. I am very excited to become a part of the community at Durham Elementary for this new school year, and most of all about getting to know the wonderful students at our school. Returning to the Tigard-Tualatin School District is very exciting for me as I was raised in Tigard, attended school in this district, and graduated from Tigard High School.

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Northern Colorado in 2015 and I received my Master’s degree in school Psychology at the University of Oregon in 2020. I have spent the last two years completing my internship and working as a School Psychologist; however, the role of school counselor is brand new to me. I am very excited about tackling this new challenge and I think the new role will be an excellent fit for me as my passion and prior experience is really in behavioral intervention.
