Special Needs
Students whose transportation needs are addressed through an IEP (Individualized Education Program), are eligible for “curbside” service. This service is typically reserved for situations where a less restrictive environment is not possible, or where medical issues require this type of service.
To initiate Special Needs Transportation, please complete each section on the Bus Information Form (link below). For the school name and address, use the actual school name and physical address of where we are transporting your student to. Once the form is complete, email and scan to your student's Learning Specialist, drop it off with the school secretary, or email it to: dispatch@ttsd.k12.or.us Allow 3 to 5 school days for transportation to begin from the time we receive the form.
All new students start on Mondays or Thursdays. For Bus Information Forms received by Thursday afternoon or before, your student will start on Monday. For forms received by Tuesday afternoon or before, transportation will start on Thursday. Your student’s bus driver will call a day in advance with the times and location pick-up and drop times. If you are returning a driver’s message, please call dispatch at 503-431-4044.
It is very important that all students be on time and ready to board the bus at the scheduled time. Please have your student at the stop 5 minutes prior to the scheduled stop time.
In order to get all students to school on time, the driver cannot wait longer than 1 minute after the designated pick-up time at each stop.
Please call 503-431-4044 by 6:00 AM if your student does not need school bus transportation that day.
