Social Science - Elementary
At the elementary level, TTSD takes an integrated approach to social science education. Rather than teaching social science in isolation, we strategically weave social science standards throughout our existing curriculum—including English Language Arts, mathematics, science, Tribal History/Shared History, and Social-Emotional Learning. This cross-curricular method ensures that every student encounters and masters all required social science standards while deepening their learning across multiple subject areas. Our detailed scope and sequence documents map where Oregon Department of Education social science standards are being addressed through our district-adopted curriculum, giving families transparency into how their child's learning is connected and comprehensive.
