Title IVA: Student Support and Academic Enrichment

Title IV, Part A of the ESEA, the Student Support and Academic Enrichment (SSAE) program is intended to increase the capacity of district and schools to:  1) provide all students with access to a well-rounded education, 2) improve school conditions for student learning, and 3)improve the use of technology in order to improve the academic achievement and digital literacy of all students. (ESEA section 4101).

In Tigard Tualatin School District, the use of Title IV-A funds are coordinated through instructional coaches and  provide individual and teacher team support and professional development for all licensed teachers in the school building. The instructional coaches support teachers  in the classroom  to address the needs of all students. Coaches support teachers in the areas of reading, math, science, SB13 (Tribal History, Shared History,) trauma-informed practices, social emotional learning, digital citizenship, and the use of various technology tools.
