Safe and Welcoming Schools
We are focused on equity and excellence for all students
Equity means the Promise of Every Student: We believe all students can learn at the highest levels. We are committed to providing equitable access to all programs.
Climate and Culture: We create and nurture a school community where every individual feels safe, valued, and connected.
Safety and Security: We follow state and federal guidelines in protecting student information. We enroll and educate all students regardless of status and without discrimination on the basis of race, color or national origin or immigration status. We uphold Oregon’s longstanding sanctuary laws* by working in partnership with local law enforcement to ensure the safety of our students, staff and community members.
Community Partnership: We value feedback and collaboration with families and community members. We connect families with trusted community organizations and service providers.
*Oregon is a sanctuary state, which means (ORS 181A.820) Oregon officers cannot enforce federal immigration laws, with the exception of arresting individuals who are criminally charged and subject to a federal magistrate’s warrant.
