Virtual Academy Transfer Process

The Virtual Academy has open enrollment for grades 9 to 12 based on class capacity
Transfers are based on the student transfer agreement and terms of acceptance outlined below

Applications for In-District Transfers are accepted throughout the year.

On-time and full-day attendance of 92% or greater;
Student will comply with the district’s policies, administrative regulations, school, and classroom rules.
Maintain record of positive behavior with no more than one documented incident that:
1. Violates district or school policies and rules;
2. Threatens the safety of others or self;
3. Causes significant disruption to the learning environment
No more than one suspension per academic year, no suspension of, or greater than, five days;
No expulsion

Transfers are not applicable for students who move out of Oregon.
Upon approval, please reach out to the school you are requesting to attend to begin the enrollment process.
Failure to enroll and/or connect with the approved school within 10 days of receiving an approval letter will result in the Student Transfer Agreement to be revoked and student will need to reapply.
Student must continue attending “home boundary school” while a transfer request is pending.
The decision for denied transfers are final.
