Extensive facility and educational adequacy assessments identified Fowler Middle School as the highest-need facility in the Tigard-Tualatin School District.

Built in 1974, Fowler was originally designed as an “open concept” school that was then subdivided, leaving several classrooms without any daylight or acoustic separation. The HVAC and plumbing systems are nearing end of life and the building poses significant challenges to students and staff with disabilities.

The proposed bond would include a complete rebuild of Fowler Middle School to bring the school up to modern educational standards with enhanced traffic flow and upgraded athletic facilities (including fields and track).

If the bond passes, the District will ensure that students will remain on site during the rebuild of Fowler Middle School.
