Transportation Department

Our Mission
It is the mission of the Transportation Department to support the academic achievement of our students by providing for the safe, secure, reliable transportation services while meeting all district, state, and federal regulations. The safety of our students is our primary concern.
The Tigard-Tualatin School district has over 100 school bus drivers and vehicles. We provide a home to school service to over 8000 students each day. In addition to our daily routes, we also provide service for McKinney Vento students, academic field trips, athletic trips, and afterschool programs. Our buses travel almost 1,000,000 miles annually. All of us in the Transportation Department are committed to safely and efficiently transporting the students of Tigard and Tualatin to and from school each day.
General Student Transportation is provided by "Student Transportation of America".
STA drivers are some of the most highly trained, tested, and scrutinized drivers on the road.
Special Needs Transportation
Is provided directly by the Tigard-Tualatin SD. We have 23 Special Needs drivers that provide Pupil Transportation services to over 400 students. They are a very dedicated and compassionate group and receive additional training. Our SPED drivers average over 12 years of experience. Several have worked at TTSD for over 20 years.
