    When is summer school?

    Can students from outside Tigard-Tualatin School District take Summer School courses?
    Unfortunately, no.  Due to changes in policy by the Department of Education, we are no longer able to provide this service to students who are not currently enrolled in Tigard Tualatin School District.

    Can a student take a class for grade improvement?
    Yes, a student can take a Credit Recovery class for grade improvement for any class that we offer. You must have earned a B,C,D,F in the original credit class. If you have received an Incomplete, No grade, Withdraw of Withdraw Fail, please speak to your counselor.  

    What does summer school cost?
    Class fees are as follows:
    $90 per 0.5 credit course
    Need Based Scholarship - $35 per 0.5 credit course

    How do I qualify for a scholarship?
    Scholarships are available on the basis of financial need. Please see "Eligibility for Summer School Scholarship Consideration". This document contains guidelines for scholarship eligibility.

    When is the last day to register?
    Online registration for summer school closes June 28th at 4pm. Payment must be received by June 29, 2018 in order for the student to be officially enrolled in the class. Registered students may add classes through July 13th but may not be enrolled in more then 2 courses at a time.

    What classes are being offered?

    What is the registration process?

    1. Speak to counselor to determine which course(s) to take.
    2. Complete the Online Registration Form before 4pm on June 28th. 
    3. Pay for the course(s) by check, cash or online by June 29th
    4. Receive confirmation of enrollment and log in information via email by July 9th

    Does TTOA accept Credit or Debit Cards?
    YES! You can pay via TTSD Online Store:
    Please sign in using student ID and last name (case sensitive). Select "Items At All Schools".
    Click DISTRICT OFFICE, then TIGARD-TUALATIN SCHOOL DISTRICT OFFICE, then Tigard-Tualatin Online Academy. Then select your the number of courses and the appropriate fees. Checkout and enter your payment information.
    There will be a $2 convenience fee with all online purchases.

    Where do I send my payment?
    Checks may be dropped off or mailed to: Tigard-Tualatin Online Academy,   19322 SW Mohave Court,   Tualatin OR 97062

    How should checks be made out?
    Checks should be made out to Tigard Tualatin School District.  Please clearly state the name of the student and the student ID number in the memo area of the check when you submit payment.

    Can I get a refund if I choose the wrong class or do not finish?
    No. TTOA does not give refunds for summer classes.

    What if I am a student athlete?
    TTOA is an accredited program through the Tigard Tualatin School District and all courses meet the requirements for the Oregon Diploma. The online setting and time frame of the Summer Program DOES NOT meet the requirements of courses used for establishing initial eligibility for participation in NCAA sports. TTOA Summer Program is not recommended for student athletes who plan to participate in NCAA athletics.

    What are the Online Learning Center Summer Hours?
    The center will be open 10am to 2pm Monday through Thursday during the Summer School Session.

    Is everything online or do I need to come into the learning center every week?
    Students are not required to come in, but you are encouraged to come in and seek help and enjoy the quiet, learning-centered environment at the center.  We offer teacher support!
