Tim Gross named Charles F. Tigard Elementary’s new Principal
-
Tigard-Tualatin School District (TTSD) Assistant Superintendent Dr. Lisa McCall announced today that Tim Gross has been named the new Principal at Charles F. Tigard (CFT) Elementary. Gross served as principal of Hazelbrook Middle School, then as TTSD’s associate director of student services before transitioning to the interim principal position at CFT in March.
“Tim’s administrative experience, combined with his work dedicated to helping our district address the wide and varying needs of our students coming out of the pandemic, positions him perfectly to step into the leadership role at CFT,” said Assistant Superintendent Dr. McCall.
With 19 years in education, Gross began his career with the Beaverton School District as a science and health teacher and a middle school associate principal before joining TTSD. He served ten years as an administrator at Hazelbrook Middle School and four as principal.
“I am honored to be given this opportunity and excited to serve the staff, students and families at CFT,” said Tim Gross. “The staff and our students and families have warmly welcomed me into their community and I look forward to strengthening our relationships and working in partnership to build the positive, structured learning environment that our students need, especially as we work to overcome the many barriers that our students face each day.”
Tim earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Portland and a MS in Science Education from Oregon State University. He received his Administrator Licensure from Portland State University.
