To Reserve a 50+ Passenger
School Bus with a Driver
for your Field Trip or Athletic EventEmail: dispatch@ttsd.k12.or.us to request access to Bus Hive.
Bus Hive is the program used to reserve school buses with drivers for trips.
Transportation will send you a “Welcome Email to Bus Hive”.
From there, just follow the prompts in Bus Hive.Contact your school secretary, athletic secretary, or transportation for assistance as needed.

To Reserve a 15 Passenger Activity Vehicle
That You Drive
for your Field Trip or Athletic EventActivity Vans (Type 20 Vehicles) are available to TTSD teachers and coaches to transport students to and from field trips and athletic events.
Type 20’s seat 15, including the driver. The Driver must hold a valid Oregon Driver’s License, have a Type 20 ODE Certificate, and possess a
current first aid card. To find out more about obtaining a certificate, please contact the Transportation Manager at 503-431-4043 or the
District Driver Trainer at 503-431-4196. Please allow 3-4 weeks for training and to obtain the ODE certificate.Vehicle Reservation Process for Teachers and Coaches.
- From the staff portal, email dispatch@ttsd.k12.or.us for access to Bus Hive
- Submit a Trip Request from Bus Hive for a Activity Vehicle.
- The White Activity Vehicles are located at the STA (our TTSD contractor,
Student Transportation of America) Bus Lot.
The bus lot is located at:
13000 SW Hall Blvd. Tigard, OR 97223
503-372-5704 - On the day of the trip, check out the Activity Vehicle from the Dispatcher at STA.
If the trip is on the weekend, check out the vehicle on Friday. - For trips over 200 miles, check out a District P-Card from the school bookkeeper to purchase fuel during the trip.
Type 20’s use propane; check in advance for Propane fueling stations along your route. - Before the trip, complete a DVIR, (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report). Blank DVIR forms are in the vans.
Be sure and fill in the start and end mileage. - At the end of the trip, clean, note fuel level and repairs needed, return the key, P-Card, to the STA Dispatcher.
