BUFFALO MASS SHOOTING 5-16-2022
-
Our hearts are heavy as we all work to process another incident of racial violence in our country–the tragic news of the shooting in Buffalo, NY, that left 10 people dead and at least three injured. This horrific act targeted the members of a predominantly Black community based on a core message of hatred, racism and brutality, requires that we come back to school today with a high sense of care and compassion. We are ready to wrap our arms around one another and hold spaces for those who are experiencing trauma related to, or deeply impacted by this event.
This is another devastating reminder of the epidemic of hate and racism in our country. TTSD will stand together in our commitment to foster school environments safe from hate and bias where all students feel respected, valued, and heard. Backed by Board Policy and in alignment with our stated values, we will continue to be vigilant in our efforts to eliminate hate at TTSD.

MENSAJE DE LA SUPERINTENDENTE: TIROTEO EN BUFFALO
16-5-2022
Respetuosamente,
