Important COVID and Flu Update - April 25, 2022

We are seeing a rise in COVID cases in our schools and continue to monitor these reports very carefully. In addition, reports of the flu are on the rise in our buildings. This message is to remind our families to monitor for signs of illness at home before students come to school and to provide links to resources regarding COVID as well as guidance on what to do if your child is sick.
As a reminder, here is a list of important steps to take to protect you, your family, school communities, and others against COVID-19:
- Get vaccinated and your booster.
- Wear a mask.
- Limit gatherings and practice social distancing.
- Stay home if you are sick. Don’t go out in public.
- Stay home if you are waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test.
- Wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds.
- Cover coughs and sneezes with tissues or by coughing into the inside of the elbow.

Estamos viendo un aumento en los casos de COVID en nuestras escuelas y continuamos monitoreando estos reportes muy cuidadosamente. Además, los informes de la gripe están en aumento en nuestros edificios. Este mensaje es para recordar a nuestras familias que deben vigilar los síntomas de enfermedad en casa antes de que los estudiantes vengan a la escuela y para proporcionar enlaces a los recursos relacionados con COVID, así como orientación sobre qué hacer si su hijo está enfermo.
Como recordatorio, he aquí una lista de medidas importantes que debe tomar para protegerse a usted, su familia, las comunidades escolares y otras personas contra el COVID-19:
- Vacúnate y ponte la vacuna de refuerzo.
- Utilice una mascarilla.
- Limite las reuniones y practique el distanciamiento social.
- Quédate en casa si estás enfermo. No salgas en público.
- Quédate en casa si estás esperando los resultados de una prueba de COVID-19.
- Lávese las manos con agua y jabón durante 20 segundos.
- Cúbrase la tos y los estornudos con pañuelos de papel o tosiendo en el interior del codo.
