Hazelbrook Middle School Principal Tim Gross Selected as Associate Director of District Student Services

Hazelbrook Middle School Principal Tim Gross to Transition to Associate Director of District’s Student Services
Tigard, Oregon – Tigard-Tualatin School District (TTSD) Director of Student Services Carol Kinch announced Tim Gross has been named Associate Director of Student Services. Tim will join the Student Services team on July 1, 2022, and will focus on supporting schools to ensure the social-emotional, behavioral, and academic needs of all of our students are being met.
“Tim has an unwavering commitment to creating school environments where ALL students feel safe, welcome, and accepted,” said Director Kinch. “As an experienced school leader, Tim will bring a unique insight into the challenges and barriers to implementing the social-emotional and behavior practices and systems in our schools. Tim understands that climate and culture are the foundation to strong academic success.”
Tim has been an educator for 18 years and is currently the principal at Hazelbrook Middle School. He has served in this role for four years and before that, served as the associate principal for six years. Tim began his career in education with the Beaverton School District as a science and health teacher, and as a middle school associate principal.
“It has been a privilege and an honor to serve at Hazelbrook over the past 10 years,” said Tim Gross. “It is bittersweet as I leave my principal role and transition to working with the Hazelbrook community in a different way. I’m excited to take my learning and experience working in the middle school system into this new role supporting all TTSD students.”
Tim earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Portland and a MS in Science Education from Oregon State University. He received his Administrator Licensure from Portland State University.

Tigard, Oregón : la Directora de Servicios Estudiantiles del Distrito Escolar de Tigard-Tualatin (TTSD), Carol Kinch, anunció que Tim Gross ha sido nombrado Director Asociado de Servicios Estudiantiles. Tim se unirá al equipo de Servicios Estudiantiles el 1 de julio de 2022 y se centrará en apoyar a las escuelas para garantizar que se satisfagan las necesidades socioemocionales, académicas y de comportamiento de todos nuestros estudiantes.
“Tim tiene un compromiso inquebrantable de crear ambientes escolares donde TODOS los estudiantes se sientan seguros, bienvenidos y aceptados”, dijo el director Kinch. “Como líder escolar experimentado, Tim brindará una visión única de los desafíos y las barreras para implementar prácticas y sistemas socioemocionales y de comportamiento en nuestras escuelas. Tim entiende que el clima y la cultura son la base de un sólido éxito académico”.
Tim ha sido educador durante 18 años y actualmente es el director de la escuela secundaria Hazelbrook. Se ha desempeñado en este cargo durante cuatro años y antes de eso, se desempeñó como director asociado durante seis años. Tim comenzó su carrera en educación en el Distrito Escolar de Beaverton como maestro de ciencia y salud, y como director asociado de escuela intermedia.

Tim obtuvo su Licenciatura en Ciencias de la Universidad de Portland y una Maestría en Educación Científica de la Universidad Estatal de Oregón. Recibió su licencia de administrador de la Universidad Estatal de Portland.
